  1. If you're applying for a German passport (by descent) then you'll need your birth certificate, his birth certificate, his naturalization papers (if applicable) and his passport to prove that he was German at the time of your birth. This is because if a German citizen obtains another nationality without filing to keep their German nationality they automatically loose their German citizenship.

I saw your other post and without your father's approval and him loaning you his documents there is no way you can gain a German passport (a photo copy or certified copy is not considered acceptable). You cannot force him to lend you his personal documents through a lawyer or attorney.

Try talking to him. He may have already lost his German citizenship or he could have automatically lost it during the war if he was Jewish.

  2. Where is your Father and why won't he give you acess to that Information.Even so aren't you an American Citizen? if so the only way to obtain a german Passport is to immigrate to germany and then become a Citizen. If you were borne in Germany you should have a german Passport,or are on your Fathers Passport.
