  1. childrens carpet python

  2. Ok ma'am or sir...there is no such thing as a harmless snake.

If you want a snake...take the risk of getting bitten by it. There is nothing you can do. Snakes are very unpredictable and wouldn't know what could happen with them.

If you want to be on a "safe" side which only means less likely to be bitten though I have already been bitten by them... are the ball pythons and corn snakes.

There is a less likely chance to be bitten...but no promises. They are kind of easy to care for but still needs the same care as other animals.

And if you mean harmless as in not venomous then you need a license or something like that to own one. I don't think you could own like a copperhead legally without a license or any snake like that.

Here are two links about ball python and corn snake.

  3. Ball Pythons are a great beginner snake. Very gentle, and easy to take care of. They don't require much attention because they generally like to be left alone. They are also very beautiful snakes.

  4. I think Brandy S is right... get a python... but keep in mind that all snakes are predator & attaccking unpredictablely is their trait...

  5. A Boa Constrictor. But if you're a circus freak, get a King Cobra, but be careful, they go straight for the neck and squirt poison

  6. I personally would say get a corn snake, they do get to be about six feet long but they stay about an inch around so they are long but skinny.  They are also very mellow.  I happen to have a ball pyton, she can be aggressive if not fed, as i am sure that's the case with any animal.  But she will be about six feet as well but she will have quite the body on her.  Both of these sort of snakes are mellow and very easy to handle and take care of.

  7. if your in Australia get a diamond python.

  8. It depends what features you want it to have if all you're looking for is a harmless snake.  I've got 4 snakes of my own, all being pythons and boas.  Ball pythons are easy to take care of and relatively nice if taken care of properly.  Red-tailed boas are docile as long as they're handled frequently, they can reach up to twelve feet though; most constrictors are long bodied and long term commitments.  I also have a Burmese python which for the most part is harmless as long as you take very good care of it and handle it every day.  But Corn snakes are harmless and come in cool colors too!

  9. if your a responsible caregiver, than most snakes can be mellow. i have had a green anaconda( i rescued it) an amazon tree boa( apparently supposed to be aggressive) burmese, a ball python, and a red rat. all are very tame. but if your real new to reps.  try a ball or a red rat( or corn) they are very mellow. ball pythons move slower, and dont squirm as much as rats, but both have the same disposition. but if you house and treat them inappropriately then they can all be unhappy  with you.

  10. corn snake

  11. corn snakes r very friendly,,i have to that r beautifull,,,

  12. Definatley a ball python, no matter what any one says they will not get over 3- 4 feet in captivity. The are easy to handle, and know bluffers. This means even as a baby, when most snakes tend to bite, it will ess up and not actually strike. Whatever snake you do get, get it as a baby and handle it regulary so it is used to being touched. Feed it pre killed mice/rats. The frozen ones are great because you will not have to kill them, and never feed it in its tank. Use a pillow case for feeding. This will also help ensure you have a friendly snake.

  13. A corn snake, or a rubber boa.  You can also have a king snake or a milk snake, they are also very cool.
