  1. Punch your dad and mom and  break their teeth.

Or  beg them, and  cry every day.

  2. So, do you have a ferret now?  What are you going to do with it if you do?  Are you going to help pay the vet bill when the kitten gets really ill or needs 1000's of $$ worth of surgery?  What will the family have to give up if this happens?  What will you have to give up?

  3. hmmmm... the only thing that i can think of is letting them know that you are very responsible and maybe let them know about your grades...( if they are always good ), maybe that you deserve it for your hard work...you can also make sure that they know you will take care of it and make sure it stays out of trouble...that can be hard to do...but tell them that you with feed, play, etc. ....AS LONG AS YOU KNOW THAT YOU CAN COMMIT TO THAT!

if they still dont let you.. make a deal...such as clean the house...you know what i mean....

    GOOD LUCK

that is all i can think of....i am a big animal lover

  4. You can make a deal with your parents. Tell them that you will show them that you can take care of a kitten. First they can buy you a kitten, then you take care of it for a week. If you do a bad job, you have to give up the kitten. If you do a good job, maybe they will let you keep it. They aren't hard to take care of. You just need to feed them and clean their litter box.

  5. my cat just had 3 kittens (her 4th batch).. they are adoriable..

and we have barn cats to.

once they start using the litterbox they arent that hard to take care of.. just give it food, water, and love!

  6. Having a pet is a big step.

It is a big responsibility - a commitment you are making.

You need to make sure that you are ready to make this commitment & this relationship can last for several years or a life time.

It is actually a great thing to do as it develops a persons character.  Trust me my cats has taught me - perseverance , servant hood and parenting (in a way)

The other thing is that you will be bringing in this pet in your family's house where several people will be affected by this pet.

You need to sit down and communicate with your parents first your desire and what it is their side of the story.  There is a big possibility that your parents have a good reason behind the statement "No Way!".

Whatever is their apprehension or concern - you might be able to assure them and in the same way you can understand where they are coming from.

If in case, your parents are able to agree with letting you have your pet - then the ground rules with the pet also needs to be established. When I was growing up my parents did not want the pets in our bedrooms. We are responsible for anything that the pet does. My brother can not play with my pet unless monitored - (he was so much younger...) There are so many other things depending on the prevailing culture in your house.

I really hope you are able to get your kitten...

  7. Just bribe your parents completely, do favors for them, and tell them what you will do for the cat.

  8. If you went from "my dream pet is a ferret" to "my dream pet is a kitten" like that, my bet is you don't need a bet because none of them are really your 'dream pet'.  Please give it more than a week to think about it.  A responsible owner usually spends a year planning and saving for a pet.

  9. Tell them that you will take care of it all by yourself.
