I want a meaningful tattoo..?

Question

i just went through something REALLY hard.. an abortion.. where i felt like i lost a part of me. i want something meaningful to symbolize the loss and guilt i will always feel.. and maybe one day i will be able to give it another shot when i'm older and more responsible and give my baby another chance..

please, this is really important to me. does anyone have any ideas?

i know many many are anti-abortion.. trust me, i was too before it happened to me. so if there's anything negative you have to say 1- i already know and 2 - that's not the point of this question.

All I can say is to look deep inside and you'll know what tattoo to get....don't ask us....you're going to have that for life.  Get something that you and only you can appreciate and understand.

i dont know why you would want to have a tattoo that would remind you of your guilt, i did a DIY tattoo of a cross on my leg, and yes its pretty funny looking i still like it because it symbolizes my faith and hope. i would get a more upbeat tattoo

You have no need to feel guilty, you made the choice that seemed right to YOU, and no one out here has any right to judge you for the decisions you make, we all have our own crosses to bare in life and although it may not have been the choice that others would have made if they found them self in your situation, you are not the first person to go through this and you will not be the last.  As for it being meaningful, well again that is something only you can decide, think about the things you love and enjoy in life, do you have a hobby, or a favourite style of art (for example, I love anime art, so my tattoos are anime style) Do you like flowers?  Think about what you like and decide from there, or go to a reputable artist and discuss designs with them

I have no idea why you'd want a permanent marking on yourself to make you feel guilty for choosing to have an abortion.

Why don't you get a tattoo for something you love?

Ummm....Maybe the dates of the time that you were pregnant on your stomach? or is that too touchy?

or maybe a tree on your back? or a puzzle piece?

I Think You Should Get A Nautical Star It Stand For Finding Your Way In Life And I Think When You Have a Abortion You Are Making a Choice To Find Your Way To Doing Things And Your Being Responsible And I Think Thinking For You Self And Being Responsible Is A Good Resson For The Meaning Of Finding You Own Way In Life And Thus = The Nautical Star Tattoo.

Why would you want a reminder that you'll always feel guilty?  Isn't the actual guilt enough?

Also, if you want something personal, then shouldn't it be something that you come up with?

If you feel like a part of you is lost, then maybe a jigsaw puzzle heart with a piece missing.  It's very hard to come up with symbols or images for guilt or this kind of loss.  Just give a lot of thought to where you're putting it.  If it's somewhere visible, then know that people will ask questions about it.
