How much cash you got to spend, you dont want a rust bucket and there expensive for a nice one you will be expected to pay £3500+

try classic car magazine advertisements or even classic cars on-line site 'car and classic dot co dot UK' or.. E Bay. all have something to offer and do not rush into anything. it's not a bad car but suffers the normal rust areas. ideally the 1300E would be the best as the Mexico version would be very expensive. the 1100 i very underpowered and only if at right price and in good condition should you purchase. good luck.

Check the owner's club, classic car magazines, Ebay etc. Expect to pay about £2k for anything worth having, and 10 times that much if you want a good RS or Mexico.

It's a good car, most people in here seem to hate American Cars for some reason.  and that one actually gets good mpgs =D

I saw a nice looking one on ebay the other day, I would also check autotrader automart and sites like that.  Also you can try googling it and putting craigslist on the end, that seems to work well too.

I intend to get an MK1 escort as my first car and have done a bit of research.  One in goog nik will set you back about 6k or more and one not such good nik maybe about 3k.
