  1. yes it is safe, like the other person said as long as its cleaned thuroughly. i actually have a fish aquarium that i was looking to get rid of. it is a 35-40 gal. im not exactly sure but i could find out. i am just getting rid of it because i can not keep up with fish anymore. it would come with lots of supplies- rocks, plants, various bubblers, and fish food. if your interested email me.

  2. I've bought a used tank that was empty befor, just make sure you keep the persons contact information so that if you come across any cracks you can get a refund and return it back. A good place to look is craigslist.com also, for your ten gallon you can still put some cool fish in it like dwarf puffers? You can have about three of them. :]

  3. ya its perfectly safe to buy a used tank just make sure you clean it out really good before you add fish

  4. Getting a used tank is fine. Just be sure to wash it with bleach (not soap) and rinse it really well. Then fill it up outside and leave for a couple days to check for leaks. If it does leak, you can just get some silicone sealant from a pet store and fix it. Good luck.

  5. you can sometimes find free tanks in news papers like puppys.
