  1. Used. Again, USED. No beginner should ever buy new irons. It's just a waste of money. Iron technology hasn't changed in the past few years, so get something from around 2004. Get fitted for shaft type, lie angle, and club length too. A good used set is gonna run you around $300 fitted. If you're a TaylorMade ho like me, get the old Supersteel Burners. Best irons I ever hit. Just as good as the new r7's. Only cost me $150 used.

And a Rossa (TaylorMade) putter is gonna run you more than $150 for the newer models.

  2. If your parents can match the amount you have, you might be able to get a decent set on ebay or in the want ads in your local paper.  You could try Craig's list as well.  You will have to look at an older set of irons for the money you have. even if you have your parents match the money you got.

  3. go with used pings or some new nikes.

  4. If you could get your parents to help you out a little bit by doing extra chores around the house perhaps they may sponser you in getting a new set of iron. What I mean by ne wis a set of iron that are new to you and not NEW. You should be able to find a decent set for about 300 on site like craigslist.com and other sites.

    Good Luck on your search.

  5. Find a job. Pick up cans and get a nickle apiece. Save up your money.Do odd jobs and chores for the house and neighbors. It will take time but you will save the Three hundred. If you shoot 100 to 110, I suggest you practice MUCH more with your present clubs, develop a better swing , then go for the new sticks.

  6. I would recommend you go to your local Golf Galaxy or Golfsmith  and Get fitted to see what shaft flex  and length you need. Then you can start looking for new irons. These stores also have used irons sets that are in good shape and you can get for a fairly reasonable price.

  7. RAC OS 2 if you can get 300, they might even be 200, if not get the original RAC OS's, a golfer of your ability, these would be perfect

  8. do you have a Dunhams Sports store in your area?  Right now at the one I live near, they have a $400 set of Adams irons on sale for $180!  I want them badly but I dont have any extra money myself.  I hate being poor.  But anyway, go to Dunhams if you have them near you, or see if they have a website!

  9. Check out the Adams GT 500 irons: [ http://rockbottomgolfssl.com/search/sear... ]

They're only $149 right now at Rock Bottom Golf, and you can take 10% off (~$15) by using Slick10Off as a coupon code during checkout.
