  1. UR CRAZY!

    get a hamster

  2. You have a great deal to do and learn before you embark on sharing your life with a wolf.

Please keep in mind, a wolf is a wild animal not a dog.  They are difficult to train, sometimes impossible.  They have dominant personalities and can be very dangerous around other animals and children.  Instincts play a big role in a wolf's behavior - if it looks like "Lunch" it's in danger.

Licensing is determined by area.  Many parts of the world require an exotic pet license just like you'd have to have for something like a leopard.  Consider that.  Consider how welcome your animal will be in the neighborhood (after it eats old Mrs. Linkletter's cat...)

  4. If you are wanting a dog.not a wolf then go to a rescue....there's plenty of beautiful babes wanting homes.......as ;long as you really want to give a loving home to one and not just have a wolf for a showoff trophy...........such a sad state of affaires this world is coming to........wolves belong in the wild not as a pet.....

  5. all you need is a picnic basket, a grandma and a little red riding hood and the wolves will beat a path to your door

  6. Dont its cruel to keep such animals as pets, they deserve to be out in the wild hunting not being fed n petted. IT's going against nature,

You can get husky dogs which are beautiful which derive from Wolfs. Remember the programme Due South with the Canadian mounty??

    Please dont get a wolf.

  7. Even if a wolf is raised since birth by a human, it will never be a good pet.  Over the past 10,000 years dogs have developed the instinct that humans are part of their pack.  They look to humans for help, answers, comfort, food, etc.  Wolves do not have this part of their brain.  In my town, a woman brought a wolf she had raised to our local dog park, and within ten minutes it had mauled two small dogs and had to be put down.  The permits to own a wolf require you to own at leats five acres of fenced-in land, get shots more often than dogs, which are much more expensive, have an exotic pet liscense, which is around $2000 and exotic pet insurance which is about $300 per month for a wolf.  I think you should reconsider and get a large dog.  Wolves cannot make a good pet, no matter how well you treat/love it.  The two people you know who owned wolves are selfish and just want a pet they think is "cool" and forget whats in the best interest of the animal.  Remember, if the wolf ever hurts anyone or their pet, which is likely, you are liable for damages.
