My husband bought me a 2 month old pot belly pig for my birthday in January.  It is August and she now weighs over 100 pounds.  We kept her in the house for the first four months and took her outside every day.

Pot belly pigs (PBP) make wonderful pets and can be house-broken.  It doesn't take much work on your part...they will pick one certain place and use that exclusively (unless you allow them the run of the house and then they will go ANYWHERE)...ours trained herself to wait until we took her out in the morning to go potty.

PBP's have no odor.  They do tend to have dry skin but a little cooking oil helps.

PBP's don't get fleas or ticks...an advantage over dogs and cats.

PBP's are the smartest of all quadropeds and can be taught to do tricks quite easily.

PBP's will over-eat if given a chance because they never feel full...

PBP's can become dominant in behavior if you don't teach them from the beginning that you are the "boss".

Given love, affection and food, they can live up to 15 years or more.  Be certain that you are willing to take on this responsibility before getting one as there are too many already waiting for good homes.  Good luck!!!
