  2. You don't want a dog, you want an accessory.  Buy a stuffed toy dog and stick that in your handbag.  It won't cost any more than $400.00 and will be extremely easy to groom and bath.  Vet fees and ongoing costs will be minimal.  When you take it out of your purse you can prop it up anywhere you like, your bed, the couch, under your bed, where ever - it won't matter.  Sounds perfect for some one wanting to create an "image".

  3. Ohhhhh...chihuahua!!

  4. Is Paris Hilton your idol or are you just stupid?

There is no such thing as a purse dog. No such thing as a 'teacup' either.

$400 too? Psh good luck. You get what you pay for. And if you want to pay $400 for a small dog which usually have a lot of health problems when they're older, than odds are you just shouldn't get a dog. MUCH LESS a small one. People like you p**s me off. Dogs have 4 legs to walk and they LIKE to walk.

They're NOT the latest cellphone or laptop or Ipod. No, dogs are animals. They do NOT belong in a purse.

If you still want a dog, adopt one from a shelter. There are plenty that need homes.

My dog picked me by following me home. I never picked him and he's little (a yorkie) band he comes with me EVERYWHERE but never never never do I stick him in my purse!

    That's just STUPID.

You don't deserve a dog in my opinion.

Or like others said, Toys R Us have very nice choices. Some of them already come in purses too.

  5. A stuffed dog.  Less than $400.00, no grooming, no feeding, no pooping.  I would recommend a Doberman Beanie Baby.

  6. Dogs have feet for a reason - they walk.

  7. A toy.  A real toy.  From Toys-R-Us.  No grooming, no shedding, no vet bills, fits in a purse just fine and is way less than $400.  No housebreaking either!

    What's not to like?

  8. A stuffed one..

    Dogs aren't meant for purses..

  9. chihuahua or teacup yorkie  :D

  10. You should get a stuffed animal, it's easy to groom, and you can get several for much less than $400.   Dogs are living creatures, its disgusting to call one a "purse dog".

  11. Let me start out by saying, DOGS ARE NOT FASHION ACCESSORIES. Dogs need lots of excersize, even tiny ones, and it would be cruel, abusive, and unfair for it to be carried around in a purse all the time. Most dogs won't even accept being stuffed into one. If you have your heart set on getting a dog, and for the right reasons, then check your local shelter. Most shelter dogs cost under $400. But remember, as with any dog, you will have to pay up to $4,000 the first year you own it. In addition, you will have to pay up to $1,000 per year to keep the dog healthy. Please take my advice.

  12. Beenie babies are good

Toys R' Us has a GREAT selection!!

Seriously though, dogs are meant to walk. Those little yippity things you see stars carying around constantly have horrible mental and behavioral proplems. When you carry a dog around cosntantly, it grows to fear strange surroundings and new experiences. Timid dogs are not a joy to have.

If you are going to get a dog, treat it like a dog, a living breathing thing. NOT an accesory to carry around.

  13. Getting a "purse dog" for $400? Good luck! But seriously, dogs are meant to get exercise and walk otherwise they'll get fat and die. Yorkies or Poms are cute. Just get them a leash. (You could always get one that's pink with diamonds?)

  14. EVERYTHING in what you said is wrong.

First and foremost, no dog is a "purse dog". Nothing ticks me off faster than seeing a dog in a purse. Dogs have four legs for a REASON. They can WALK. They are not accessories, like your hair ties, your earrings, your purse.

Beyond that, no dog is cheap. You buy a tiny, cheap dog (hard to find with people seeing the money made off of them) and you get an unhealthy dog. You'll make up for it in vet bills. And you probably dont care, but the dog will die early.

Be an individual. Don't just get a dog because it's "cute", and the celeberties have them. Get one because you want a lifelong companion, and because you know what you are getting into. Get a dog because you want a DOG, not a TOY.

  15. Hey check out the toy dept. at walmart. They have these cute little plush dogs that come with their own purse. And conveniently you won't ever have to take them out to go potty and they are really cheap when it comes to food and the EASIEST when it comes to grooming. I bet it won't cost your over $20-you could even get more then one!

  16. Boston Terrier requires little or not grooming at all.

  17. Adopt from a shelter.

  18. A dog is NOT an accessory. Why do you need to carry around a dog? Poor thing. Small dogs need to be exercised too, so why would you stick it in a purse and embarrass it?

  19. A purse dog huh? That's a new one.

I suggest that you don't keep him or her in your PURSE. Would you like to be in an unsteady purse all day? If you've ever had and payed attention to a dog you'd know that they don't like to be in a smooth steady crate, let alone a purse.

A stuffed dog would work perfectly as they can't:

Walk, feel, see, live, or know what's happening. You don't have to groom them, or feed them or water them and they're only up to about ten american buckaroos!

  20. Go to the animal shelter, there are many different types of dogs and always cost under $400. But PLEASE do not use the dog as a "fashion accessory." Besides, you can not expect to get a dog around $400, everybody has a different price for pets.

  21. A stuffed one....

And while you're at it, you may want to double check if Paris Hilton still has hers, it may not be cool to have them anymore.....

Seriously, dogs are supposed to be active and walk. It causes health issues for them to be carried around all the time. They are not toys.

  22. a pug

  23. you are awful if you think you can get a dog just to be a fashion accessory.it is mean to the dog and it will end up in the pound once it pees or pukes and you decide you don't want it anymore. If you must get one, adopt a small dog from the pound.they deserve a life just as much as breeder dogs. you can even find purebreds for under $100 on pet finder.com. you can start a new trend to make people adopt pound puppies and it will help animals. it is better for every one.

  24. dogs need exercise. Take it from me.... if you do not tire out your dog it will be destructive. Chewing on things you don't want it to. Running around the house.

  25. As everyone else said with common sense, get a stuffed animal. You can get as many as you want and when the next gotta have item comes around, they can be stuffed into a box for storage.

Many other reasons to get a stuffed animal include no feeding, grooming, potty training/breaks, life long commitment stuff applies.

People like paris hilton make me nauseous with their cute dogs in the purses.

Anyone who gets a dog just to carry it around in a purse needs to go see a psychiatrist because a dog is not your next "it" item, it is a living breathing creature that can not withstand being left in the closet when a cat in a purse becomes the next "it" item.

On a serious note meaning without the sarcasm. If you really want a dog, get a DOG. That means minimal purse time(if any), feeding it high quality dog food/raw meaty bones diet, taking time to train it, playing with it, socializing it with other dogs, vet bills, spending more than $400 dollars on a pure breed(most likely), LETTING THE FOUR LEGGED CREATURE WALK ITSELF(I have two legs and would become very irritable if I could not walk myself, I cannot imagine what I would be like with FOUR legs and locked up in a purse), grooming, and many hours awake in the middle of the night for the gotta go pup that cant hold it anymore or that just went on your floor because you slepted through it/ ignored it.
