  1. if your experienced i would get a 125 2 stroke because they are bigger but have alot more power and are much funner to ride.

  2. you should repost a nother question, saying how much you weigh and how tall you are, and tell us your experience riding... that will help us help you..

  3. VERY FAST, very reliable, but has a little more maintenance because it is a 2-stroke race bike.

  4. They were a good bike in their time, but do think of resale value as most people especially those who race would not bother with a yz80 but would go straight for an 85cc.  Obviously the bike is used and you need to make sure that it has been well maintained as there can be an awful lot wrong with a bike that old.  Make sure someone who knows their stuff checks it over before you purchase so you are not buying trouble and have a look at the 85cc's.

If you are going to race it keep in mind that it is 7 years old and things have changed a lot in 7 years so the bike may be outclassed against the bikes it would have to run against.

  5. Depends on your weight and size..The yz80 is a great bike..It is crazy fast if your a first time rider..First sit on the seat and see how well you touch the ground..If you can touch with your tip toes you might be ok...Be carefull..
