  1. actually its not 100 percent safe there is a heap of evidence that it can trigger mental health problems in people who genetically are susceptible to that type of thing

also no government would have the balls to do it as the media backlash would prove too much. there is no way it would be legalise in the UK

sorry you gotta keep buying it from shady blokes in the pub. if you can get it now my advice is carry on the cops don't care that much if its just for personal use - applies to uk only some regions may vary but boy is it easy to get in south london

  2. You assume that just because it grows from the ground that marijuana is somehow more natural than alcohol.  Beer is brewed from hops which are a similar plant to the cannabis hemp plant and there is nothing particularly unnatural about the brewing process.  Alcoholic beverages are all made from natural plants using natural methods.  Tobacco is natural and listed as harmful.  There are no reliable studies of the benefits of pot as opposed to the negatives.

  3. I think it's strictly political reasons. The government feels they can't regulate it to make their share of money off of it. And I agree, if alcohol and tobacco which cause thousands of deaths each year can  be legalized, I don't see any reason not to legalize marijuana which has never all on it's own proven to cause one death. Granted, just because it's natural doesn't mean it's safe, but marijuana has not in fact, despite what some people think, shown to be any more physically harmful to people than any other substance, in fact research has shown it to actually have medical benefits including the possible prevention of Alzheimer's disease. As far as the post that talked about it causing more traffic deaths, I would rather be on the road with someone high on weed than someone drunk ANY day. A drunk person will be going 70 miles and hour thinking they're doing 30 and person high on weed will be doing 10 miles an hour thinking they're doing 100. There's any number of things people shouldn't do while driving and mj is one them, but so is cold medicine. That goes back to being the fault of the driver not the substance. The success of any addiction ultimately depends on the user not the drug. Nothing in itself is bad, it's only decisions and choices that people make that make things bad.

  4. Because it's propping up the governments in too many third world Latin American countries. Our government doesn't want to do that for political reasons. It's the gross national product of Mexico, Columbia, Peru, etc....

  5. It is illegal because it is habit forming which leads a criminal lifestyle. There thirteen reasons you should not smoke marijuana and cigarettes.Since it travels thru many hands you must be aware of the HIV/AIDS virus.

  6. Are you serious?

    1. It kills your short term memory.

    2. Your motivation to do anything falls to a zero.

    3.  Your ability to concentrate is greatly impaired.

    4. It hurts your relationships because you are not there, when you are high....(not available...meaning checked out).

    5. It makes you want to pork out and later when you are sober you will like a pig.

    6. If you have cancer and you need this drug..then please know that my answer doesn't apply to you.  My heart and prayers go out to you.

It is a addicting which why there are people all of the over trying to kick this addiction.

Have you heard of AA?  Well there is also MA.

    If you use now...then find a MA meeting...if you haven't started...don't!

  7. How many deaths occur from drunk driving in any year?  Now imagine having another legal substance to impair drivers and how many more deaths would occur each year.

Just because something is natural does not make it good.  Lead, mercury and carbon monoxide are natural but I don't want any of them in my body.

  8. The government has brainwashed people into believing that pot is the devil...as you are well aware of by the number of negative posts here.  I can also say that it affects everyone differently...I am able to focus when I'm high and though I do eat, I'm in great physical condition.  I smoke everyday, at least twice a day-I also work out everyday.  I do online schooling and raise my children with respect and manners which is more than I can say for most these days (no I do not smoke around my children which is more than I can say for many who smoke cigarettes) I don't drink or smoke anything else.  I am obviously a productive citizen.  For those who insist it is a gateway drug which leads to more hardcore substance 'abuse'...well, educate yourselves, so many studies have disproven this theory.  Don't knock it until you've tried it.  It's not crack, it's pot.  And...unlike tobacco, it is not processed before being smoked.  Cigarettes are not just tobacco, they are chemicals.  Beer also is processed.  It isn't a can of hops you're ingesting...it's alcohol.
