I live in a very busy city. I know the chances of having an accident are high. I've wanted a bike since I was 12 years old. Am I stupid for doing this?

  1. ok when you get it      hold the clutch--put it in first--and give it a lot of gas just hold the trottle all the way down and let the clutch go        you go nice and easy   jkjkjk       but no your not stupid but thats a 750 its huge for a beginner (or corse i would say that considering my first will be 1000 lol) but go easy on the streets

  2. go for it

  3. Yes you are, I hate it when a perfectly good woman kills or mangles herself

  4. Not if you get something that fits, wear protective gear, and take an MSF course.

  5. Start with the beginning rider course from the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and you'll be fine. You'll learn on small bikes and you'll get enough feel for it to pick out a bike of your own. Since most new bikers end up moving up after a year or two, start with used bikes so you don't waste a lot of money.

  6. i have a bike,now i want a wendy h

  7. Hi Wendy. You are considering making a change because you just want a motorcycle or scooter or our Gas prices  forcing you to make a change.I would feel much safer in a car versus a cycle or scooter. If gas prices are forcing you to make a change then Best we can do is use our common sense, keep our eyes wide open at all times watching all the traffic around us.I ordered my scooter today so I will be making a change .If and when you are Ready to make a purchase I recommend you go to the Better Business Bureau website for your state check on the business you are buying your scooter or motorcycle from.See how many complaints, were they handled fairly?Best of Luck!

  8. No your not stupid. Find a friend or a motorcycle dealer that has a motorcycle training course to learn before you go out and buy one. You just have to be extra carefull on a bike, there's nothing protecting you in a crash except a helmet.  But they get very good gas mileage, and a lot of fun.

    Good luck.

  9. I highly recommend you take a motorcycle safety class, and if you have any friends that ride take them with you when you go shopping.  When you get your bike, be defensive when you ride, always keep in mind that people in cars don't see you, relax and have fun.  To answer your question... No, I don't think you're stupid for wanting a motorcycle, but I do think that girls on bikes are extremely s**y.

  10. No, you are independent and probably a lot of fun. Whatever you get  both feet must be flat on the ground when you are seated on the bike at rest. Take a cycle safety course and buy safety gear. If you can fit a Kawasaki 250 its a good start. O'wise look at a Rebel 250cc or Virago 250cc.

Above all have a blast. Try to get a used one because if you like the hobby you will be trading up in a few months. Then look at a Honda VLX 600 shadow. Good luck!
