There are too many questions and variables that determine how much a wrist tattoo will hurt for you.

Tattoos hurt. That's just a part of it.

It depends on the level of pain you can take...some might say it will hurt whilst others will say no. My bet, if you don't take pain likely then don't get a tattoo ANYWHERE.

you wont be in "omg!" paint, but, it will sting a little bit.  i have 4 tattoos, and the one on my wrist hurt the less, so no worries! it wont hurt as bad as you think!

i dont think it matters where you get it on your body, it will hurt.

The top of the wrist will be less pain than the under side, but neither will be that bad.

It might hurt. It might not. (It honestly isn't even a hurt, if feels like someone is scratching your sunburn) It all depends on your pain tolerance level. Mine is very low. I have three tattoos. Shoulder, back of my neck, and foot. The foot hurt the worst. My next tattoo will be on my wrist as well. It if is something you really want, just work through it. Which is exactly what I'm going to do.
