I want an IPhone, but I have T-Mobile. Without switching carriers, can I use an IPhone w/T-Mobile?

I've heard that Apple sends updates that will make the IPhone not work at all if you aren't using AT&T as the carrier... Is that true? Will I be able to use the internet with T-Mobile on the IPhone too? Help??? Confused.

Absolutely. Just jailbreak it. Research a little before, but I recommend ZiPhone, which runs on Mac, PC and Linux, and allows you to unlock, activate and jailbreak the iPhone. Just don't download Apple's updates.

You cannot use it on Verizon, however, leaving me totally stuck.
