  1. no..unless u hav contested for any lotteries..it can never be true..

  2. This is a farce.  If anything like this ever comes up again you can always go to www.snopes.com where you can check out urban legends like this and more.

  3. Its a scam, a lot of people fall into this so its good you asked here.

  4. It's a common Internet scam.  Yahoo! don't have a lottery of any kind.  What possible reason would they have for giving away $250K x 8 every month to random people?

  5. NO! It is a scam. Why would you win a lottery that you never entered??????

  6. This is a SCAM. The below links confirm various email scams. There is also an online form for the reporting of such - (with links for your own country.) :

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/or...

Unscrupulous thieves have sent you this and they are trying to part you from your hard earned cash. They will often ask you to call a premium rate number and keep you holding on whilst you rack up a huge phone bill. They are then paid a large proportion of this phone bill. They may ask you to divulge personal information about yourself or ask for your bank or credit card details. Do not divulge any such information under any circumstances. It is surprising how many innocent victims have been duped by these thieves. Please remember the messages are very clever and extremely convincing. I suggest you delete the email and send it into cyberspace, hopefully along with the thieving scumbags who send them.
