if they tell me to do something simple, like switch the laundry, i just say "hold on" and 10 mins. later they have to tell me again, which is the only thing holding them back from getting me contact lenses. any suggestions on how i could improve? don't say "do what they tell u" cuz i try but i need some kind of mental motivation... thanx

  1. Well if you really want contacts, that should be enough "mental motivation" for you.  If you aren't responsible enough to take care of simple things around the house, then you probably aren't responsible enough to take care of contacts.  Good luck.

  2. If you want contacts that should be enough motivation to be responsible around the house.  I am not saying to do what they tell you to.  I am suggesting to have things done before they need to ask.

If you know the laundry needs to be moved from the washer to dryer then move it before your parents ask rather than 10 minutes after.  It will show you are responsible and do not need to be reminded about what to do.
