  1. try get a grant ask ur local council for it. gud luk.

  2. In MY opinion, it it not your son's scholarship, but yours. An adult that cares about his/hers child's education KNOWS how to spell "scholarship, knows to capitalize "I" and "the P in "please."

Back to the question, tell your "son" to be the best he is so he gets good grades and get a scholarship, or simply watch Nickelodeon and wait for the scholarship commercials

  3. FAFSA. govt will help you pay. Fill out FAFSA Application at any institution.

  4. The first step would be to visit your son's guidance counselor at school.  Visit the financial aid's department at the school you son would like to attend.  Fill at FAFSA online.

  5. First, have your child fill out a FAFSA after Jan 1, 2008. This is where most of you financial aid will come from. Then you have to fill out any state aid forms, in NY, we have TAP. Then you can apply for any other scholarships or grants at the college and also on Fastweb.com. There are many opportunities at the college. Go to the financial aid and scholarship offices to find out more.

  6. There are two financing options for higher education:  loans and scholarships.

Loans must be repayed.  Federal loans are preferable to private loans.  Federal loans are available through FAFSA, and have a lower interest rate.  Private loans are available through a number of companies, and carry higher interest rates.

Scholarships are available through a number of sources.  For instance, they can be obtained for disability status, race, geography, area of study and more.  If your son is planning to attend a specific school, he should look at the website for the department of his major for scholarships.

Regardless, he should make  an appointment with both his high school guidance counselor and the financial aid officer of the school he will attend (as soon as he accepts admission).

  7. apply for education scholarships. His school will have a list of them, but a lot of them have closed applications already for next year.

  8. try asking advice in education allowance from the government
