  1. Apparently you haven't been reviewing your credit card statements very carefully for the past year.  Otherwise, you would have noticed that monthly charge right away.

You are out of luck now.  This is why you should always review credit card and bank statements every month.  In addition to these kinds of services, there are also lots of scams out there making small charges to bank accounts and credit cards.  They even show up on phone bills.

  2. They offered a service - I don't think you are going to be able to get the money for the whole year.

At this point, the only thing you can do is make sure the service is canceled and learn from it.

Next time you need to see your score--- you are entitled to 1 free copy of your credit report from each of the credit bureaus 1 time per year. So if you pull your report from 1 bureau every 4 months - you can use it to keep a track of your report.  You have to pay about $6.00 to get your credit score.

However - to get the free report you have to go to the web site set up by the legislation: www.annualcreditreport.com

Be careful - sites like Be careful.com and credit report.com are pay sites that try to trick you into thinking they are the free government site.  I suspect that these sites probably make a good bit of their money from folks who fell into the same trap you did.

If you need to see your report again (after you have gotten the free one) -  You can  pay to get a copy of your report directly from the credit bureau itself.

    www.experian.com

    www.exquafax.com

    www.transunion.com

Of course, you have to pay to get the report but you might as well just go to the source

  3. Contact the business and ask for a manager. Mostly likely, this will lead no where. So immediately contact the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and the State Attorney General's office and file a compliant. While this may take a while, they can usually force the company to make a resolution.

  4. I hate to be the bad news bear here but the reality is that all of this was stated in their terms and conditions that you obviously did not read and understand before you clicked on continue.

It's not their fault that you messed up, so pay the money and consider it a good lesson learned the hard way.

  5. creditreport.com is a service and they are allowed to charge you for the service they provided.

Next time you want to see your credit report, contact the credit reporting companies directly and don't use a stupid service. You're allowed to get one credit report free per year.

  6. You can try going to you bank and see if they can do some type of ACH reversal.
