I want my eyesight to be .5 - .7 please tell me some remedies?

i dont want to wear powerless glasses...i want real glasses..powerless can be caught by anyone n this will cre ate fun of me :(

  1. As much as I wish I could say otherwise, glasses, contacts, or surgery are the only way to improve your eyesight.

    I've been looking for other options for almost 20 years since I first had to get glasses and I have found things that improve the health of your eyes (which can help them from getting worse), but they can't make the actual visual acuity better. Most of them are natural herbs and vitamins that help maintain the health of the eye and I can mention a few if you'd like.

    The main reason is because vision problems are a physical problem (the physical distance between the retina and lens), not a chemical problem that can be changed with drugs, herbs, or supplements :-(

    As far as fruits and veggies (like carrots), they have vitamins and minerals that may help to protect and/or nourish the eyes, but unfortunately, they can't change the numbers on your eyesight.

    I've heard of eye exercises that some people try, but based on a lot of research I've done on them, there is no basis to say that it will improve your eyesight at all. All that's left after all that is surgery or glasses/contacts. Sorry.

    Ginkgo is a leading herb for treating retinal deterioration. It's a free-radical scavenger and also acts preventively by increasing the flow of blood and nutrients to the retina.

    If you endure frequent eyestrain, passionflower may help. This calming herb, used to treat insomnia and nervousness, also helps relax the eyes' small blood vessels.

    Eye exercises also help improve eye health, according to eye-care experts. If you spend long hours reading, squeeze your eyes shut for a few seconds to increase blood flow to the area. Bathing your eyes in ice water also stimulates blood circulation.

    If you look at a computer screen or other close objects for a long time, look away at distant objects every so often. To reduce eyestrain, position your computer away from bright light sources such as windows and artificial lights.

    And always consult a competent ophthalmologist or optometrist for any vision problem or before starting a preventive eye-care program.

  3. I have always heard tha5t Carrot is Good for one's eyesight. i dunno how true that is, but here in Jamaica, tthats what elders would suggest. Another thing too is drink water. Water is Good it replenishes cells
