  1. please don't get your guinea pig pregnant if you don't have enough space there are so many guinea pigs needing to be adopted out there sorry to be no fun i just thought you should know the truth.

  2. Please don't reproduce.  There are already too many pet in the world.  I wouldn't even consider it unless you plan on keeping the babies.  If you can't find a male then purchase one.

  3. Please don't breed your guinea pig - you may think you want cute, fuzzy babies, but do you really want to risk your pet's life?

I've read varying statistics on the subject, but most sources agree that about 25% of guinea pigs experience complications with pregnancies. That may mean the death of the sow - one source states that 1 in 4 female guinea pigs die giving birth. The high mortality rate is a reason that some breeders stop breeding: they can't handle seeing so many things go wrong. Breeding guinea pigs is very risky, and your pig is getting close to being too old to breed. At a certain age, guinea pigs' pelvic bones fuse together, causing even more problems. Some people say this happens at 7 months, some say as late as 10, but it almost certainly varies with the guinea pig and there's a chance that your pig has reached that point.

So the bottom line is - is it worth it? Would you really want to risk your guinea pig's life just so you could see cute little babies? Baby guinea pigs are cute for about 6 weeks, and then they're just like any other adult guinea pig. Leave the breeding to the breeders and just provide the best home you can for your pet.

  4. well i got two great looking male guinea pigs.

and i wouldnt mine lending you one.

i got two males and one female.

and shes pregnant about three weeks :)

you should make them a c&c cage better.

i live in temple city CA,

    feel free to email me.

  5. Ok well there problems with that. First, breeding guinea pigs is very risky for a female because the mother and babies could die during labor. Second, if your parents wont let you have another guinea pig.. then why would they let you keep baby guinea pigs? Especially since guinea pigs could have 5 and maybe more babies. Third if you have a small cage where are you going to put the babies.. especially since there is probably going to be different genders and when they mature they could mate. Fourth it doesn't sound like you did your research or anything about breeding and you just want to put your female guinea pig at risk because you want little baby guinea pigs. Listen to your parents...

  6. Please do not breed your piggie just so you can have babies.

If you want baby piggies, go to a shelter and adopt some. There are thousands waiting for homes. Most will be euthanized for lack of homes willing to take them.

  7. don't get it pregnant if u don't have the space and your rents don't allow u too. i might get you into trouble

  8. omg. if youre parents said no it means no.  if my kid got her guinea pig pregnant without consulting me i would take it away from her and gorund her for 3 weeks-a month.  also i would never let her have pets again.  Getting your piggy pregnant without permission is an obvious sign you arent responsible!! if you want to keep your piggy i wouldnt get her pregnant.

  9. well i'd listen to ur parents!!

  10. Hello (Kara?)

guinea pig babies are a pig responsibility, please understand they will take work and time and money, also, you need to it least discuss this with your parents, i know parents are hard to convince, maybe you could make a list of good things about guinea pig babies? Anyway, do your research. Your guinea pig is the right age to have babies, i don't know about a hot-line, but you could probably get something if you googled it. Try and find a male guinea pig who is the same breed as yours and around the same age. Well. hopefully i helped.

  11. how aobut this, go to a shelter or somewhere were they sell baby guinea pigs. get one or two. and then go home and say that ur guinea pig just had two babies lol.
