I want my microsoft word document setting up as A3 but its not on the option?

i can set it up as custom size but i dont know the sizes of it

i need to make sure that when i transfer it to college it wont corrupt or anything and i can print it out as A3 at college

does anyone know the sizes i can put in to make it A3 or a way to make my laptop think i have an A3 printer so the setting comes up?

  1. As you seem to have already worked out, the paper sizes come from the printer settings, an A4 printer only gives sizes up to A4 and the similar sized US letter.

    You can use the custom setting to set up a document as A3.  Each A size is twice the area of the size below, the shorter side being doubled and the the sheet rotated 90 degrees.

    A4 is 297mm by 210mm

    double 210 gives you 420,

    so A3 is 420mm by 297mm
