I want my pool to be pink for my party .... ?

So i am having a party for the end of summer and the theme colors are pink and orange. i want to make my pool pink .... but i couldnt find any pool light covers in pink..so then i found this dye. the pool dye only lasts for 3-5 days..but they didnt have pink. does anybody know whether ...

where i can find anything to make my pool pink? besides buying a new pool light? i cant do that..its to expensive. so any pool dyes/pool light covers? its an inground pool too.

no1card, you stole my answer--I was going to suggest pink felt for the POOL TABLE (since that would fit the category we are in).  Though, since I HATE the color pink, maybe I wouldn't suggest that...

1) Buy floating lights instead

2) Check with your local pool store about the problems the dye could cause. If it's going to seriously mess with the chemicals, it;'s not worth it

try shining pink lights on it...if the party is going to be at night

if its during the day, buy pink pool floats and those noodle things...i think that would be really cute

If you don't put all of the red dye in I'm sure it will be on the pink side. Keep looking.

Put a full bottle of artificial RED colorant, it will make it pink, trust me, been there done that, LOVED THAT !

maybe a colored bulb in your pool light? i'd say use food coloring (used for coloring icing/frosting for cakes and stuff)

but it may turn the sides of your pool red (will come of with scrubbing) and also turn your guests pink! good luck!

i dont know anything about pool dye but if you needed to use the red dye as an absolute last resort maybe try not putting all of it in, then it might look more pink because the dye would be more dilute.

The red dye might come out pink depending on how much water your pool has in it.

try putting less than what it says to put in, i believe it should come out a little more pinkish.

i wonder if you got some red plastic wrap and somehow 'tape' it over the lights, you might want to layer it a fewe times to get a bolder, more noticable color, but the red might come out pink... thats a really cool idea though!

If you use a small amount of red it'll probably look pink-ish.  

Have you thought about spreading pink and orange flowers in the pool instead?  It'll keep with the theme and be cheaper.
