I want new furniture?

We have ripped out and gutted our kitchen and took out the wall seperating the dining room from the kitchen. We are installing new french doors off the back to the deck. Installing all brand new wood floors through out the first floor. New ceilings and high hats. I know that once this is all done the living room furniture which is about 7 years old now will look horrible but we have spent close to 75 thousand so far on the reno. How do I convince my honey we need new furniture without him having a stroke?

Ikea for the most part is affordable and looks modern. Check out deals online rather than big name stores locally.

I STRONGLY recommend going to flea markets and mix-matched places to get cool pieces.  Hubby is probably in NO mood to get all new stuff and pay.  Check http://www.craigsligst.org and look for cool stuff.  Or, paint over what you have!  Be open to ideas!  Or wait until you are settled down more.   Whatever it takes.

Go to a flea market. Look for deals. You don't need extremely expensive furniture for it to be nice and good quality. Maybe look into reupholstering what you have . Don't just go get matchy matchy furniture that is ridiculously expensive. Shop around and avoid big name brand stores!!!!
