ok first you have to drink 10 gallons of hot prune juice at midnight, but you only have 5 minutes. then you have to run around your yard counter clock wise ten time dressed as a nun while reciting hamlet's "to be or not to be" speech in german. then you go inside and lock yourself in your closet where you must eat 15 fiber one bars. you can't come out or use the bathroom for 10 hours. After the 10 hours are up, you may use the bathroom, once you are done you will be 1 inch tall.

Have you considered an out of body experience. Maybe you could learn to be a bug psychic. If people can do it with animals then surely they can do it with bugs.

I would go for the out of body experience really, it is easier.

You know, documentaries will tell you what it is like being a bug, if you just watch one about them, then you wouldn't have to be just a fly on the wall during the conversation.

Alternatively find some crazed neurological surgeon and have him add about 25 meters of nerve to you eye.  Get a sharp electrical engineer to mount your eye on a tiny motorized little red wagon and off you go. You can use the other eye and the rest of your body to steer by remote control.

If you can figure out how to use your TV DVD remote control you should have a chance of surviving. This may result in eternal scientific fame , an entry int to Ripley's Believe it or Not and maybe even make Guinness's Book of Records.

You may find hallucinogenics more convenient.

The easiest method would be to travel to a world where everything is 100 times bigger than everything on earth.  But that does not help you with flying insects.  In that case once you got there you would need to find an entomologist to transfer your brain into a fly's body.

Put yourself in the washer and wash yourself in the hottest water, when you get out, pour salt all over yourself then put yourself in the dryer. Now this all depends on how tall you are right now because it may not work. If you're really tall, you might only come out the size of Vern Troyer(mini me) or whatever his name is.

Technology at this time doesn't allow such a process so you'll have to do the next best thing.  Use a video camera with a macro setting.  You can video record the activities of various insects while they do their insect things!  It might be very expensive to get the equipment and challenging to develop techniques to successfully film insects in this way.  Of course, you'll not experience the terror of a predatory insect zeroing in on you like a preying mantis!
