I am buying the 09 Mercedes Benz C300... and it says that the tires that it comes with are 225/45 R17 front - 245/40 R17 rear.

I am getting some cool rims, but do I HAVE TO BUY A DIFFERENT SIZE for the front and one for the REAR? or can I use one for both?

  1. the cars computer is set up to use those exact sizes. you can change the tires  height by no more than 2 inches. if you make bigger changes , you will have to go to the dealer and try to get them to remap the computer for those sizes. it will directly affect the braking and the performance if you go too far. use your tires on the new rims or keep the height the same as the stock tires . you can do this by matching the new tires with a tape measure . not tough to do and most tire dealers will know how far you can go before you have problems

  2. you can but it wont look right
