  3. The losses will be: the switched current through the MOSFET, squared, multiplied by the Rds_on; the resistance of the drain-to-source channel when the device is 'on'.  

    For power MOSFETs Rds_on can range from a few milliOhms to a few Ohms, depending on the part number (and how it is constructed internally).
