i have heard that certain airports in the USA are cheaper for internationla flights to fly too. Which are they ?

Since we have no idea where you are flying from, this is hard to answer, but generally speaking cities on the East Coast will be cheapest (New York, Boston).  The summer months will be highest as with most travel and then around Christmas time, they will probably spike again.  Fall travel is usually affordable, but I have often found the best international fares are in the spring time. (Feb-March)
