I want the sailing days & times of Virtuferries from Catana to Malta &were to get the drive on train from Rome

I will be driving to Rome in the summer and then I want to drive the car onto a train from Rome to Catania dose anyone know if this is possible? If so do you know how I can find out more such as times,cost,stations,ect,all I know so far is that there is a train from Rome it go's on to a ferry over to Sicily somewere near Messina then go's on to Catania,dose anyone know of a more straightforward way?Or even the names of the ports & stations were I have to make for Olive.

    As regards driving your car onto a train, I don't know. If it is offered by Ferrovie dello Stato, you should be able to find it on their website at http://www.ferroviedellostato.it

    If you want to go to Catania just to take the ferry to Malta, you could instead take a Grimaldi ship from Salerno to Malta.
