I want this so bad but my parents say no

what should i do??

I'm 16 I really want to audition for american and i know i can't sing but my plan was to dress up lyk hannah montana w/ a blonde wig and sing a parody i wrote of "see you again" by miley cyrus my version is lyk "my best friend lesley said oh shes just the next britney" so basically i just want a lil attention and to be on tv.

and dont tell me my idea is stupid i dont care what u think and i cant wait a year cuz hannah montanas gonna end this year and next year it wont make sense. my mom said she wont drive me though, my dad thinks the whole idea is stupid.

what should i do...ive been planning this for months, it was gonna be so funny, but i need a parent to go w/ me and they just will not agree and there is really no point talking to them cuz they are so unreasonable and will never change their minds

I think costumes are pointless. This is a singing contest not a dressing up contest, Just wear your normal clothes and be yourself!

Wow that is a awesome idea you have to lyk get ur friends parents to drive you or something because taht would be such a awesome thing to do. i would do something like that but there is no way i could i think you should do it because that would be so cool and i would see you on tv and it would be like a highlight of the show!!! awesomeness!

It sounds like you answered your own question.  If your parents said no, and they aren't going to change their minds, then there is nothing you can do.  Oh, and you obviously do care what people think, because otherwise you wouldn't have posted this, and because you wouldn't be trying to get attention.

well, I guess your parents don't want to see you make a fool out of yourself. If you already know you cant sing, why would you want to do that. I know you say that you just want some attention, but why on national tv where people will laugh at you? I have to stick with your parents on this one. Did you know that there are auditions before the auditions? If you are not good enough, they wont even let you in.
