I want this surround sound system cause its a great price. But does it sound good?

You'll get pretty good sound,

but this system is hardly a great

sounding system.  Unfortunately, you

will have to spend more for that, or find

an auction on eBay for a deal on a more

expensive (retail priced) system.  For ex-

ample, the powered sub needs to be able

to play down to a THX Certified 25 Hz at not

more than -3 dB at a SPL of 100 dB or higher

with minimal distortion.

Well first off samsung is a good brand with good customer service. It depends what type of room you will be putting this in and what kind of use they are going to see.

They will be perfect for a small to medium sized room for standard tv watching and for a good movie watching experience, however you may want to pick up a pair of either the following

^^replace the two front speakers with either of these. They will provide nicer mid ranges and lows for the front speakers for a good price. the reciever specs seem to be formidable also, quite nice. 1000 total watts is plenty enough unless you plan on simulating a commecial jet taking off in your living room. I would say go for it.

Samsung is a good system and the price is pretty good.  The customer response seems to be positive...so I say go and get it!
