  1. You need an analog converter.

  2. The s-video on your computer is OUT only - not two way. So, no, you can't do what you want to do.

The JVC GR-SXM62 is a VHS-C analog camcorder. You will use the AV cable that came with the camcorder to connect to an analog/digital bridge (Pinnacle Dazzle for USB only; Canopus for Firewire).

There was no "software CD". This is an analog (not digital) camcorder and never expected to connect to a computer for editing.

If you need it, here is your manual:

You will use MovieMaker (in your computer to capture and edit - the Pinnacle and Canopus A/D bridges may come with some rudimentary bundled software, too...

  3. You can connect your camcorder by USB port, to view the data in it, the S-video on your graphic card is an output, thus you will not be able to connect your camcorder and if your camcorder does not have not USB connectivity then you will have to buy a TV tuner card that lets you to connect your camcorder through s-video cable to your computer.

  4. You should be able to connect it through your USB port. If you are using windows vista, then using SD video is really easy. You just make a SD folder and then drag the MOV files you want to put on your computer when you plug your camcorder into your PC. I dont know if I answered the right question for you, sorry if I did not.
