You can hire a tutor, I'm not sure about hiring a teacher.

It would seem to go against the whole home school ethos. I thought the point of home school was so the parent did the teaching.

Most home school families teach the children themselves. There is no reason to hire a teacher, it defeats the purpose of home schooling. You would be better looking on line to find a good curriculum.

You can also enrol kids for on-line courses.

Then they will have a tutor assigned for each course. Might work out cheaper than an individual teacher.

Eg, National Extension college, Open University etc.
