I want to add power to my airsoft gun. Can I just put in a stronger spring?

I don't really airsoft a lot, so I don't want to spend money on a new gun. Would I need a special spring or can I just use a generic one?

  1. First off, what gun do you have? Do you simply want more power)to hurt more???) or do you want better range?

If your gun doesnt have good enough internals, simply slapping in a stronger spring runs the risk of breaking the gun. If you want range, I would get a new hop up unit and a tightbore barrel.

  2. Ok. This may take a little while to explain. If you want more power they're are several ways to go. 1: you can upgrade your motor to a systema for about $60-80. 2: You can get a different spring such as an m110 which are very popular right now. or 3: You can buy a heavier BB such as .2 or .23 depending on the type of gun you have which will have a greater impact. The tricky thing is if your gun can withstand an upgrade such as a stronger spring or more powerful motor. If you have like an Echo 1 or JG you could buy a m120 spring. If you have metal gears you could do the same too. Or you could just buy a stronger battery such as you having an 8.4 and getting a 9.6 which will boost your ROF which will mean that you will hit them twice instead of once. I hope that this helped you.
