  1. 1) Open System Preferences > Network

    2) Under "Show" Pull-down, select "Network Port Configurations"

    3) Click "New"

    4) Select "Built-in Ethernet" port, enter a name, and click "OK"

    5) Under "Show" Pull-down, select your new port

    6) Apply your secondary interface settings

    ... or in Terminal, run the following command:

    sudo ifconfig en0 inet 192.168.2.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 alias
