  1. visit adoption websites

  2. From the kind of difficult stories I have heard about Adoption process in India (bcoz of fear of child traffic crimes) the best option is to hire a legal aid in India who specializes in adoption cases and then through them approach viable Adoption options. This way you will be able to file for the immigration papers and not waste money unnecessarily. Good luck and God bless.

  4. hi,

visit the website www.adoptionindia.nic.in,this is the official adoption agency run by the ministry of women's and children's development India, also known as  cara it shall give you all the information you need,i registered here but you really got to be patient with things especially when you need a baby that's 6months old or below the age of one year i wish i could tell you the whole story but you'll get there its a long process but it shall surely get through because every thing needs to get sorted out legally so takes a year or so,but try this out,all the best to you and your wife, and god bless you both, take care.

  5. Hiya!  I don't live in India... or even really know anything about adoption, but I reckon you should begin with contacting the agencies directly.  I just did a Google search on 'adoption in Chennai' and clicked this link, which lists all the agencies.  http://www.tn.gov.in/adoption/how_to_ado... - I think it's lovely that you want to adopt an Indian baby - which is something I myself would love to do.  Good luck with it!  I hope it works out for you.

  6. Start with your local government agencies.  Ask them what you should do, what the restrictions are (if any), and how to go about this.  Keep in mind, you are a student who has to study like a monster for however much longer you are in school, make sure the process doesn't finish up too quickly or you may fall behind in your studies.

    Good luck :)

  7. We went thru the HOLT agency in Seoul, Korea.  That was years ago, but they are still there and are international with a reputation for being excellent, helpful and caring.  Good luck
