when i get older (i'm only 15 now) i'm planning on adopting.

but ever since i was 8 i knew for sure that i wanted to adopt when i was older.

and even tho its really early i want to start looking into the investement.

I was told, however, that it is VERY costly to adopt. i just don't believe i will have that kind of money, but I LOVE children.

is this true? is it really that much?

is there any cheaper ways to adopt? and where from?

any info on adopting will be greaty appreciated. thank you :]

  1. You should start saving money to go to college instead, after that, you can think about adopting.

  2. Try a petting zoo or a farm to adopt a "kid".

Seriously though, I admire that you are interested in the details right now. The best thing you can do is research. research and more research on the subject. Adoption needs to be for the child not for the adoptive parent.

  3. i know how you feel im 20 and have been wanting to adop kids since i can remember.. it cost a lot but things might change when ur finaly ready for that... so for now worry about school...and when ur ready look around.. or if u get bored do some reserach for yourself.... good luck on ur future

  4. I too had known that I would adopt sometime when I was a teenager and it was in my late twenties before we adopted our two boys. Don't worry about the money issue now. Your financial situation will probably change quit a bit by the time you are emotionally ready to adopt. Give yourself time to learn/experience some life lessons as a young adult before taking on the role of parent. Set yourself up educationally and career wise before taking the plunge. You will have less regrets later in life and so will your kid. Remember, you will need to completely care for your child at least 3 years longer than your current age of 15. It's a long road with many cycles. You can work on setting up as many positive cycles of success for your future child now with your own life.

  5. you are only 15, why r u thinking about adopting a child, ur a child yourself, think about  you, mature some more, get a lil older  and then you can think about that when u get older, when you have a nice job and car, and money to help take of a child, it's good that you want to help out the unfortunate, but for now, do you and when you get older and more mature and become an adult thats making money you can do that, but for now just relax and enjoy being 15, that doesn't come around too often

  6. money can't buy u love

  7. I'm very concerned about the effects of celebrity adoption on our youth when 15 year olds want to adopt.  Adoption is not fun.  It's not beautiful.  It's not "nice".  It's not cool.  It's really hurtful for kids to be separated from their families, and that follows them through life.  If you're intent on adopting in the future, please do lots of research on what it feels like to be an adoptee.  But take your time, please.  And in the meantime, be 15.  You only get this moment ONCE.

  8. Girl please! Go play outside... Think about adult things later... I didnt have my 1st kid till 24 & i wasnt thinking about kids before that.... You got a lot of growing up to do. Play with your dolls or get a puppy. after you finish college and Get married, then think about having kids
