  1. check out a few internet sites,

But Can I ask WHY CHINA, and not America?

In America its fairly easy to become a Foster Parent,

Why not look into this first?

    SItes:http://travel.state.gov/family/adoption/...

    http://www.childrenshopeint.org/china.ht...

    http://www.adoptionservices.org/adoption...

    Hope these help

    Meg

  2. Go to china and grab one off the streets :)

call a local adoption agency..they can help you much better than someone on here can unless you ARE looking for a blackmarket child.....

  3. I hope you get a little girl from china. Someday I plan on doing the same thing. I'm sorry that I can't be much help with any info though but I just wanted to wish you good luck and god bless.

  4. I'm assuming that when you say "I" that means you are single?  I don't think China allows single parent adoptions anymore.  I think you have to be married and under 40 now but I'm not sure

  5. If do want to adopt from China then first I have to ask you: Are you married? If not then they will not allow you to adopt from their. If you are the I advice you to save alot of money because this whole process will be expensive.

  6. A "kid"?  A child is not a billy goat!

Seriously, you need to get an international homestudy first.  See if you even qualify to adopt first.  If so, then research agencies to see which you want to go with.

    Expect adoption fees around $25,000 - $35,000.

And if you are looking into adoption, reading and using positive adoption language is a MUST.  There are many good websites for this, but here are some:

    www.adopting.org/article5.html

    www.carolinaadoption.org/documents/Tal...

    international.adoption.com/foreign/ado...

    Good luck!

  7. I heard that china was stopping all international adoption of chinese children.

  8. The very first thing you need to do is get a homestudy. Call your local children and youth services or some adoption agencies provide this service. You cannot adopt without a homestudy and China has special requirements in order to adopt from them including a minimum income.
