  1. have you looke dinto a surrogate? i only ask cause i was recently reseaching this. or you could look into your local human resorces. alot of children need foster homes and adoption through the state. it can be less costly and faster then a private adoption.

  2. Contact your local adoption agency, the number is most likely to be in the yellow pages... Good Luck

  3. Don't consider adoption yet. See your doctor first and explore all the possibilities for having your own child. Adoption is not a 'quick-fix' for infertility. It is a long, complicated process, which needs really careful consideration before you embark on it.

  4. assuming you are in the US

My friend adopted twice thru them and had a great experience both times.

  5. Just make sure you're keeping the best interest of the child at heart. And if you want to adopt a healthy white baby boy, good luck! Most couples wait YEARS to get the opportunity. Like a fellow commenter said, check into foster care. If not, there's always international adoption. But, I would look into Domestic adoption/foster care to start. Also, go to your doctor to see if there's anything wrong. You just might need an ovulation monitor to get pregnant. Make sure that you research your options thoroughly to make the best decision.

    Hope this helps,

  6. Hi Nishu Ji,

If you want to adopt, you should have your home study completed first to make sure your family qualifies.  If you are in the U.S., you will find that newborn babies are seldom in need of adoptive homes.  The ratio is about 90 couples wanting to adopt for every 1 available healthy, white infant.

The children who are in the greatest need of adoptive homes are currently in foster care.  They are usually older than babies, children of different races, or sibling groups.  The wait will not be very long, and the cost is minimal to nothing.  You can contact the dept of children & family services for your state for more information.

The other thing you might want to do is research adoptive parenting as it is different from parenting biological children.  There are also lots of adoptee blogs to read that should be quite insightful to prospective adoptive parents.  Good luck.
