I want to adopt my sister, she is 13 and i'm 17 with my own house, can anyway help?

i need to adopt my 13 year old sister she is leaving my parents dur to not being looked after i'm 17 and have my own house, i've looked after her all my life she is like my child really! does anyone have infor?

  1. Thats very admirable of you! Actually my niece's parents died and she took care of her sister also. She was 17 and her sis was 15. I also had some neighbors that just had a step child adopted by the stepparent. If I were you I would call your local courthouse and see if they have any information. Or call a family attorney and ask for a free consultation. I think there may be a fee of about $300 to $500 to finalize the adoption. God Bless you and Ihope everything turns out great!


  2. you cant adopt your sister you have to go through classes and what not and plus you are only 17 best thought would be to talk to your parents and see if she can move in with you that would probably be your best bet  

  3. ask ur parents if she can move in with u....

  4. you have to go to court and become her main guardian, you aint legaly an adult so dont think you will be able to adopt her, but you can if there is enough reason, and you can prove ability to care for her posbly gain main custody
