I want to apply for the post office. are those 800 numbers a scam?

I'm not sure what the 800 numbers can do that you couldn't do for yourself.  They'll probably charge you for any services they provide too.  Check out the website listed below for qualification requirements.  There is a test you'll be required to pass before being hired.  There are books available to help you study should you want to pursue that route. When in doubt stop by you nearest post office and ask anyone there.  Good luck!
