I want to apply to a certain cuny school....when i fill my application does it go out to all the schools?

I am confused how it works....do they send your application to all the cuny schools or just the one you want to go to?

First of all, what is a Cuny school? Sounds like slang to me... and unless you're a person hip on the slang, nobody would know what you were talking about.

Generally all higher learning institutions are exclusive -- which means that your application will be seen only by them, and in all likelihood, kept private (laws and such). There SHOULD be some kind of small print or disclaimer on the website or the official application itself to verify -- but I may be wrong. I DO know for sure however, that your application will be school specific, and they won't share that information with other schools. Why would they? They make money off of your attendance, even if it is a state school and not a private school. Every other school is considered 'competition' for your money.

You should pick up or download your application DIRECTLY from the school itself (it's official website) or get one by mail. Never use any third party programs or websites, as they may be a scam. Apply to all the schools you want to go to, and check each school's website for other materials required (letters of reference, etc) along side the application; these often vary from school to school.

I know someone who graduated and are attending.  I believe on the CUNY application, you can choose the schools that you want to application to process.  I know the faculty isn't too bright or helpful.  You have to grab what you need aggressively to stay on the correct path at CUNY.  Did you think about SUNY schools?  SUNY has a better system and programs of studies.  Did I mention that they have online degrees or courses you can take as well?
