before you got pregnant, were you

a) normal weight

b) overweight

c) underweight

how often were your periods before you conceived?

how long were you trying to conceive?

did you have any fertility problems like pcos etc?

thank you! just trying to see if there's any pattern, as they say that being overweight and then losing weight helps regulate your periods.

  1. I was overweight and my periods were v. irregular so I was on the pill.  Before I was on the pill I could bleed for a month solid, then stop for a week, then bleed again.  Or sometimes I could go three or more months without periods.  Wasn't diagnosed with any fertility issues.

When I came off pill, we were using condoms, trying NOT to get pregnant, and I still got pregnant, lol.  I was only off the pill for under a month when one condom split and I was pregnant.  Other than the last withdrawal bleed on the pill I didn't have another period.

I'm happy now, I guess it was really meant to be!

    *edit*

I was on the pill for a year and a half

  2. according to my docs. i was a little underweight for my height and age. my periods were always irregular. but i would get my period every month just different times.  i tried to conceive for about 4 years. docs said it would never happen. that's why i never got on birth control plus i'm married. then in march of this year i was told i'm pregnant. i am now 26 weeks and loving it.
