  1. Say something like.

Y'Know boss. i've been here for awhile.

And i needa little more money in mah pockets.

Could i probably get a raise?.

    I'am not beggin or nothin.

Just could use a better cash flow.

    That should work.

  2. You know I just went through the same thing.  My boss told me just to ask right out.  He knows what a great job you do, so skip the small talk.

  3. First take a deep breath let it out and relax.  This is not hard.  Just make sure you have everything written down that you have accomplished.  If you have implemented something at work bring that up.  If you have streamlined a process bring that up.  Be  honest about any mistakes you have made and be able to show the corrections you have made.  Also make sure you have a figure in mind when you schedule the meeting.  Definitely schedule a meeting.  You do not want to get interrupted.   Things not to do:  1. Compare yourself to others 2. Make it personal 3. Threaten to quit 4. Make it all about money (we all want more money) 5.  Have an attitude (Even if you do not get the raise now you will have brought your abilities and performance to their attention.
