  1. easy-buy the video game!!! yeah!!!!!!!!!

  2. There are categories for smaller guys in other organizations, but not the UFC.  I have seen weight classes as low as 125lbs but I have never seen a 100 lb weight class.

If you want to become a fighter, you'll need to start off with a discipline that suits your needs.  I would go into some kind of grappling (Judo, Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling) for starters.  A smaller guy needs to have good opponent control, and that's the way to gain those skills.

Also, as the first poster mentioned - hit the weights too.  I'm guessing you haven't lifted much weight before.  Get a book on strength training (not bodybuilding) and start working on your overall strength.  For grappling, the forearms, abs, back, glutes, shoulders, and neck are key, but don't neglect any area.  If you strength train effectively, you'll put on some weight.  *PLEASE don't start those dumb "weight gain" powders - they are a waste of time.  Eat right and train hard!

Once you have some good grappling skills, start cross-training in a striking discipline (Muay Thai, Jeet Kun Do, Kickboxing) and learn that aspect of the fight game.  I like Muay Thai for the clinching aspect which is overlooked in a lot of striking arts, but if you have some grappling skills, you can add in the standing clinch skills (dirty boxing) pretty easily.

Eventually you'll want to enter some contests and test yourself out.  Train for 4 years or so, and you'll be ready for an amateur fight.  You will be a whole new person by then, too!  Fighting isn't something you can learn quickly, but focus on doing the basic stuff really really well, and you can get good fast.  Tito Ortiz for example doesn't have a belt under anyone, but he's a heck of a fighter because he trains the basics - cardio, strength, simple strikes, wrestling / opponent control, solid defense against strikers, escapes...that's enough to get the job done if you do all those things REALLY well.  You don't have to be a "black belt" to be a fighter!

  3. train, run,  train, run, train, run,  run, some more run even more train,  run, train, run.

I BELIEVE THIS CYCLE SHOULD HELP YOU AS FAR AS THE UFC SET SHORT TERM EASY TO ATTAIN GOALS DROP THE BAR I LITTLE HIT SOME LOCAL SHOWS REC. YOUR FIGHTS POST THEM  DEVELOP A FAN BASE NO ONE SAYS NO TO  A GUY THAT SELLS TICKETS JUST LOOK AT THAT TARD KIMBO (AND NOBODY BLAST ME FOR CAPS I FIGHT I DON'T TYPE ) AND I DON'T CARE YAHOO CAN BAN ME IF THEY WANT IT WILL NOT DISRUPT MY EB AND FLOW

  4. Troll much?

  5. You'd better get yourself down the gym, son. The lightest weight category is 155 pounds, and the fighters cut weight to make that. And you need to start training in all of the core areas of mma - striking, wrestling and submission wrestling/Jiu Jitsu.

  6. get with an mma gym in your area and start to train.  And train in all disciplines. You may get a fight or two but hit the weights, the lightest fights are normally around 135 or 145 assuming you are a guy.  Start at the amatuer level and see how you like it but understand only a SMALL percentage of fighters ever make it to the UFC.  Look more to local organizations

  7. You dont need to be in a fight. Do you think UFC s just street fighting in a cage?? your dead wrong. Its mixed martial arts. Literally meaning, fighters use a variety of techniques in their arsenal from many different styles. the main styles in UFC are BJJ, Muay Thai, Judo, kickboxing. Most fighters who are traditional martial artists seem to be the most dominant. GSP, Lyoto, etc.
