I want to be a become a bad girl--why doesn't it happen?

I want a bad girl, a person with less morals, as I'm sick of being a good girl with a boring life. However, the opportunities never arise for me to become a bad girl, so here I am, still being the good girl. Is fate or God stopping me from being a bad girl or is it within my own free will to really take risks? Am I stopping myself from being a bad girl? Or, am I not welcoming opportunities that are staring at me blindly in the face?

It depends what you mean by opportunities and your definition of 'bad'.

ultimately you are the author of your own destiny and as such, 'opportunities' will be all around you. Perhaps your unwillingness to turn these into encounters which will fulfull your 'bad' girl aspirations iis indicative of a hidden inner desire to remain a 'good' girl.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to spice up your life by adding a bit of danger, adventure, excitment but please question what you mean in your deifnition of 'bad'.

I used to feel like this, but I gradually began to slide into "bad girl" mode.

Start with small things first- listen to heavy music and get into a crowd who do this too. Dye your hair, wear ripped clothes and go against whatever anyone tells you.

Wear what you want and do what you want. You're a bad girl, you don't have to listen to what others say.

Keep your morals though, don't just jump into bed with a random guy as you think it's a bad girl thing, you're a person, not a stereotype.

maybe you just don't have that attitude and edge that makes a bad girl a bad girl, maybe get a new look, dye your hair and cut it so it looks edgy, change up your makeup and clothes and maybe you will get that rebellious edge that you want

realy, dont bother. "bad girls" dont have anything better about themselves except they;re more likely to get in trouble.

if you're brought up with morals you can just loose them, or at least not for real. and never ever dress goth. its such a retarded way to get people to notice you and anything gothic is not the tiniest bit "bad". its just nerds who want to be tough and scary.

if you want a reality that is not part of your current life then you need to seek it out and not sit around waiting for it to find you in the suburbs. when i was a teenager i was bored out of my skull. so i decided to move to new orleans and have a homeless adventure. do i regret it? not at all

Why in the world to you want to make stupid decisions!?

Because that's what being a "bad girl" means. A series of stupid decisions which you will regret if it doesn't destroy your life. Once people begin to see you in that light it will be a long hard battle to redeem yourself. You should be ready to handle any consequences associated with your actions.

There's nothing wrong with being a "good girl" and your life doesn't have to be boring.  Get up off your but and do something! Go to concerts, hike, take a road trip. Drinking and having s*x are way overrated.

I am in no doubt that many more will share this view, and the most important person you will ever meet is the one who you spend half the day looking at through shop windows and mirrors etc.

My best directive is to simply aspire to being the best person you can be, and believe it or not that is 'yourself'.

As you find each piece that makes up all that is 'you' at that point you will start to recognise how amazing you are as an 'individual'.

Finally when all try to floor you, just try to learn to love yourself without the 'vanity'. component and not much will keep you down for long, and in addition, if something or someone does not makes us feel uplifted of elevated then why would we want it for ourselves, and the prettiest things often hide the most ugly of interiors.

So the moral of the story is try not to be impressed by many of the false or pretentious people you meet, because many of them do not mean you well.

Take care and choose for yourself the things you need as opposed to the things you desire.
