Is there any university or college to give occupational degree or diploma on boat building and repairing in Australia? look forward your kind answers.

  1. Find a boat repair or building business & to to work for them. If they do not need any help, work for free, you need the experience.


  2. The best way is to find an apprenticeship. The best way is to decide on what type of boats you want to work on (huge cruisers\yachts medium size craft, dinghys, ferries etc) and phone places and ask them if they have any positions for you. You can also e-mail places with a cv and resume and if they don't have anything for you most places in the marine industry in Australia are kind enough to pass your details onto other places. You will find you get better offers over phone as they think it shows that you are keen and it is really you on the phone that wants the job, compared with an e-mail anybody could have sent it with your name on it. Below is the link to the NSW tafe course that you will need to do to get into boat building\repair. one of the requirements are that it is done as an apprenticeship
