I'm playing volleyball for 4 years now. I learnt the basics 2 years ago and then I started to play games....This is my 3rd team and I'm a freshman in the women's team.

My coach is the captain but I don't this year who will be.

trainings will begin on september and I want to be ready, strong enough to help my team.

So can you tell how to be a captain??? tips, advices???

  1. be 100% eenthusiastic, always be happy, don't talk S**t, because the captain isn't necessarily the best player, but the best leader, whoever can keep the team together.

Always have a smile on your face and give it your all, and be on everyone's good side, because that's really key.  That should be true to everyone on the team, but a requirement of the captain.

  2. Well, theres not much you can do but to try your best to perfect your spiking, vollying, bumping, and serving (overhand would be best). Just practice allot and ask people that you know for help in practice. It may seam lame, me telling you to practice more but if you practice allot you might stand out more and they could pick you to be a captain.

I hope it all works out for you, captain is a responsible position!

  3. Try your best.

    Encourage others.

    Be a team player.

Show that you can be a leader.

    GOOD LUCK!!

  4. HUSTLE!

Never lose your temper with a player or coach. They may be testing you to see how well you can manage....

    Lead stretches/ cool down

try to always be at the front of the line

    be flexible.... both ways :)

Give it your all at practice and games, set the standerd for other players!

    Luck :)

  5. I was the capt  on my HS and College Team....I was the setter....the most vocal (against the refs) and busted my a$$ of every game.....It was down to a team vote and then the coaches made the final decision. You can't go in with the mind set that there is something specific you have to do, You have to lead by example, in fact set the example,  show up early...lead warm up and warm downs......play as hard if not harder then anyone else. Don't be over bearing Teammates hate that but do work your tale off and that should give you an inside track to being named captain.

  6. stay positive even when somebody makes a mistake. always have a good additude even when your on the sidelines. dont dont dont suck up to your coach, and remember to be a team player and b happy for the team capitan if you dont make it. that will show good sportsman ship

  7. just hussle. show em what you got.

if your motivated and you always try your best and are good with your team members im sure youll be captain :)

  8. Let every one know that u can be a leader. That you know the sport and what u r doing. If you see one of the other players having a hard time with something do what you can to help them. Be loud when your suppose to be. And always be very movating. That helps a lot.

  9. encourage others, when someone does someything wrong take them aside and help them out (dont do it in front of everyone) just be loud and a good team player

  10. for my club team, the coach would always put the setter as captain, because they would always be in the game.

  11. try your hardest give 110% and make shure the coach sees that you are. and always have a positive attitude.
