  1. you've got a long road ahead of you... have fun

  2. work hard. Get good marks. Do a five year med degree MBBS or a four year degree MB. Intern two years. Registrar two to four years. Sit fellowship exam after sucking up big time to the established hierarchy. Sit part two. Crawl your way into a practice. Find some patients. Try not to kill them. Voila: youre a cardiac surgeon. Better to be a plumber: same basic info: better money, no responsibility, cash under the table, no med board looking over your shoulder, no medicolegal hassles. better still, go on the dole.

  3. hey. I'm aiming to be that too. Yay!

Anyway. Your requirements vary from country to country. In my country, Pakistan, I have done my O Level's in Science. Now I'm not doing A Level's but instead I'm attending college and doing my Intermediate which is the better route to medical. Then I'll join a medical school and do my M.B.B.S. and become a doctor. The decision as to which medical school I go to is decided by a test everybody in my city gives. Whoever wants to be a doctor. Then the top scorers get the best university and the second best scorers get the second best and so on. And we do have other private institutions as well in which you just present your grades and get admission if theyre worthy.

Then after you M.B.B.S you will have further studies of 3 years in which you will specialise in cardiac surgery and VOILA! you're a cardiac surgeon.

Just pick Science at this point of time. Then work your way through college hanging unto Science subjects and you'll make it!

    Best of luck.
