so heres the questions shortened for you guys.

1.Should i try out for cheerleading when it comes.

2.How much weight should I loose and how?

3.How can i become more flexible

I've never down gymnastics or tumbling or anything but I used to be super flexible before I put on my weight.(:

  1. I'm an cheerleader and you should try out know matter how much you weigh. but to get in shape start to run for momentum and leg strength so when your performing you won't be out of breath. For cheerleading jumps do sit ups and v ups. And if you do stunts get upper strength by dooing push ups. For streching strech everyday. Now look being overweight does not matter just as long as your strong and have good momentum thats all that matters, and just to tell you I'm not a skinny stick and i just made captain this year If i can do it you can

  2. you shouldn't fret over your size i was a cheerleader for my last 2 yrs of high school and last year my best friend who was a big girl was not only on the team with me but also was our team captain last year..but for flexibility it'll help if you get in the habit of stretching daily.

  3. Yes try out. Not all cheerleaders are sticks. I'm gonna be starting high school in about 2 weeks. I made the JV team. And I'm not a stick. I'm 5'8 and 166pounds. And there are some girls on the squad who weigh more than me. Don't worry about it. I'm not flexible.

    1. Yes if you really want too.

    2. If you wanna lose weight just eat better and exercise everyday.

    3. Stretch everyday.

I can't tumble either but you're school might not require it. Like my school didn't require any exerience but other schools require a back handspring. Ask the high school.

Good Luck I hope you make it!

  4. Well Im not sure but know one else answered so....

Its gonna be hard if you cant do the splits and such.

    Make sure you are fit

Id work out alot if it means that much to you and try next year.

Dont lose weight work it off...

    Practice makes perfect!!

    Good luck

  5. 1.  Yes, you should try out for cheerleading because it is something that is important to you.

    2.  You should get in shape.  Do not look at it in terms of how much weight you should lose.  Focus your goals on being athletic and getting to a point where you can physically perform the role of a cheerleader.

    3.  You can start becoming flexible now by stretching.  Start eating healthy and excercise.  See if there are any training classes in your area to become more fit and perhaps pick up on some gymnastics skills and improve your flexibility.

You can do all of these things if you put your mind to it and you can be a great cheerleader.

    Best of luck!

  6. Well some of the girls on my squad are little heavy but they make great cheerleaders so theres no reason why u can't be one. Its all about how you project yourself, whether or not you're loud so i say go for it! You should lose the weight for yourself, to be healthier. not to be on some cheerleading team
